DOMAINE DE LA MOTTE

The story of Domaine de la Motte began in the 1960s with Henri Michaut, who cultivated a few hectares of vines alongside his other agricultural activities.

Over the years, his sons Jean, Bernard, and Christian joined the family business and contributed to its growth.
It was in the 1990s that the family decided to further enhance their work by producing and marketing their own wines. In 2011, the Michaut brothers took another step forward by leaving the cooperative to handle the marketing of their production themselves.
Today, Adrien Michaut manages the estate, which covers 53 hectares of vineyards. Located on the slopes of Beine, in the heart of the Chablis wine region, the plots produce Petit Chablis, Chablis, and Chablis Premier Cru wines, primarily made from Chardonnay.
Committed to sustainable viticulture, the estate is certified High Environmental Value level 3. This approach demonstrates its commitment to preserving biodiversity and to best support the ripening of the grapes, in order to reveal the full richness of its terroirs.
